# THE INSIGHT SOURCE
> Research-first podcast content for Mind & Body podcasters. The research brief, the verified source list and the SEO keyword architecture are delivered before the host records — not retrofitted from a transcript afterwards.
THE INSIGHT SOURCE is a one-person operation run by Martin Schattenberg and trading under HELLO PACHAMAMA LLC (Florida, USA). Martin does the research, the source verification, the keyword architecture and the writing himself; AI research tooling is used to widen and speed up source-checking, and every flag is human-reviewed before delivery. The company also produces its own Mind & Body podcast using the same production system it sells to clients.

## Answers to common questions
### What is THE INSIGHT SOURCE?
THE INSIGHT SOURCE is a research-first podcast content service for Mind & Body podcasters. It delivers the research brief, verified source list and SEO keyword architecture for an episode before the host records it, rather than generating show notes and clips from a transcript afterwards. It is operated by Martin Schattenberg under HELLO PACHAMAMA LLC.
### What is pre-recording podcast production?
Pre-recording production is the research layer that runs before the microphone is on: topic and keyword architecture, primary-source research, and claim verification, all delivered to the host as a brief. Most podcast tools and agencies start at the recording or the transcript, which means the episode can only be as good as what the host already knew when they sat down.
### Who is THE INSIGHT SOURCE for?
Mind & Body podcasters working on nervous system, sleep, stress, gut health, movement and habit topics, and in particular licensed practitioners who carry professional liability for the claims they make on air.
### What does the research brief contain?
A topic and search-intent map, primary-source research on the episode subject, a verified claim list with the source behind each factual statement, and the keyword architecture the host speaks naturally during the recording. Higher tiers add post-production deliverables once the audio or transcript exists.
### Is there a free option?
Yes. THE INSIGHT SOURCE offers a free episode audit: you share one published episode and a topic you plan to record next, and you receive an assessment of the research gap, the SEO opportunity, and what pre-recording production would have changed. No commitment.
### My show is interviews. Can you fact-check my guests?
Not while they are talking, and I will not pretend otherwise. What I do instead runs on both sides of the recording. Before you record, guest research goes through what they have already said publicly: prior interviews, published claims, who funds the evidence they cite, and where their public version and the documented record do not quite match. That becomes a question list, so you know where to ask for a citation while the mic is still on. After you record, the transcript fact-check goes through what was actually said, attributed per speaker, and flags anything unsupported before it reaches your show notes, your descriptions and your clips. It cannot un-say a sentence. It stops one loose sentence from ending up in twenty places.
### Can you fix the episodes I have already published?
Yes, that is a separate service and it runs in two steps. The review is $297 for a block of ten episodes, and you choose which ten — either pick the ones you most want working, or say the last ten. Worth thinking about before you answer: if your strongest evergreen material sits further back and your recent run is time-pegged, the last ten may be the least valuable ten you own. For each episode you get a verdict on the four things that decide whether it is findable: whether the title matches how people actually search, whether the description names the mechanisms, studies and tools discussed or is just filler, whether timestamps and chapters exist, and what search demand the episode misses. You also get the priority order, which episodes are already fine and should be left alone, and one episode fully rewritten as a worked example. Larger archives run in further blocks of ten at $197 each. Then the rewrite is $47 for each episode you decide to fix, and the review fee credits in full against it. Episodes I tell you to leave alone are not billed. Everything the review finds is stated plainly whether or not you buy the rewrite — you are paying for the hours and the craft, not for access to the findings. Two honest limits: it cannot change what is in the episodes, and indexing on edited metadata takes weeks rather than days. Back-catalogue gains compound, they do not spike.
### Do I need to provide a transcript to get started?
No. THE INSIGHT SOURCE works before the transcript exists. You provide the episode topic. I deliver a research brief, verified claims, and SEO architecture before you record. Tiers 3 and 4 add post-production deliverables — those require the audio or transcript after you record.
### What is the turnaround time?
Because every brief gets first-hand research and a human fact-check, I take on a limited number of episodes each month — you book a slot rather than drop into an anonymous queue. Once your slot opens the turnaround is fast: Tier 1 and 2 in 2–3 business days, Tier 3 in 4–7, Tier 4 in 5–9. Express turnaround — about 50% faster — is available as an add-on to jump ahead. You always know your delivery window before you commit, so a busy week never turns into a missed promise.
### Why slots instead of just taking every client?
Because the whole value is first-hand research and a real human fact-check on every claim — and that doesn't scale to an anonymous queue. Taking a set number of episodes a month is what keeps the quality real instead of becoming a content mill. For you it means a delivery window you can count on, booked before you commit. A boutique with a short waitlist beats an agency that overpromises and slips.
### I already have a content team. Why would I need this?
Most content teams work from the transcript — which means they start after the research gap already exists. THE INSIGHT SOURCE fills that gap before recording: the research brief, the fact-check pass, and the SEO keyword architecture that tells your team exactly what to build from. It makes every downstream deliverable stronger.
### Is this right for a licensed health professional?
Yes — and specifically so. Every factual claim in your episode brief is traced to a verifiable source before you record. The Credibility Shield means you go into every recording with documented backing for what you say. Not a problem to fix after the fact. Before the microphone is on.
### How does the free episode audit work?
You share one published episode and a topic you are planning to record next. I assess the research gap, the SEO opportunity, and what pre-recording production would have changed. No commitment. No sales pitch. A direct, honest assessment of what is there and what is missing.
### Is this AI-generated? How do I know it's accurate?
It's AI-assisted and human-reviewed. I say so plainly — the source-checking runs deeper and faster because of it. Advanced research tools do the source-checking across multiple layers at a depth and speed no solo researcher matches; a human reviews every flag before it reaches you. The proof is that you get the source tracker with every brief: each claim, its source, and how strong the evidence is. You can audit it. That's more transparent than "we fact-checked it" — and far more than the transcript-first workflows that make verification secondary.
### Can I start with one episode before committing?
Yes. Every tier is available per episode. There is no minimum commitment. Retainer pricing is available for consistent publishers — but the first engagement can always be a single episode, and there is no obligation to continue.
### What is the free episode audit?
You share one published episode and a topic you are planning to record next. You receive an assessment of the research gap in the published episode, the SEO opportunity that was missed, and what pre-recording production would have changed. There is no commitment and no sales pitch.
### How long does the free audit take?
A few business days from the point the episode and next topic are submitted.
### What do I need to provide?
A link to one published episode and the topic of an episode you plan to record. No transcript is required.
### What happens after the audit?
Nothing automatically. The audit is delivered as a standalone assessment. If the gaps it identifies are worth closing, any of the four service tiers can be booked per episode, with no minimum commitment.
### Who runs THE INSIGHT SOURCE?
Martin Schattenberg. He has worked as an audio engineer since 2011, starting in the music industry in Berlin and Hamburg as a mix and production assistant, then as a mastering engineer, before shifting to German dubbing: recording, editing and preparing voice-actor sessions across AAA game titles, films, series and documentaries. He founded THE INSIGHT SOURCE to build the research layer that podcast production stacks leave out.
### What makes THE INSIGHT SOURCE different from a podcast agency?
Sequence. Editing tools start with audio, show-note workflows start with the transcript, clip tools start with the recording. THE INSIGHT SOURCE works before any of that exists, so the research shapes what the host actually says rather than being summarised after the fact.
### What is the Credibility Shield?
The Credibility Shield is the source-verification pass: every factual claim planned for the episode is traced to a verifiable source before the host records, and the documented backing is handed over with the brief. For licensed practitioners it moves claim-checking to the point where it can still prevent a problem.
### What topics does THE INSIGHT SOURCE cover?
Mind & Body only: nervous system regulation, sleep science, stress and recovery, circadian health, gut and microbiome, movement and morning habits. No finance, no technology, no general business content.
### What is THE INSIGHT SOURCE podcast about?
Mind & Body topics only: nervous system regulation, sleep science, stress and recovery, morning habits, gut health and movement. Each episode is built from a research brief with sources verified before recording, using the same production system THE INSIGHT SOURCE sells to clients.
### Are Amber Reed and Brian Hirst real people?
No. Amber Reed and Brian Hirst are written characters performed by AI voices. They are the only invented element of the show, and it is stated openly on the podcast page. The research, the source verification, the editorial angle and every line of script are written by Martin Schattenberg.
### Why does the show use fictional hosts?
Health research is rarely tidy. Most findings arrive with a caveat, a sample size worth mentioning, or a gap between what a study showed and what it later gets used to sell. A single narrator has to flatten all of that into one confident line. Two people do not: one can hold the caveat while the other pushes for the takeaway, and the listener hears both. Writing the hosts rather than hiring them means that tension can be built to serve the evidence instead of the edit: Amber will not overstate what a source supports, and Brian keeps asking what it actually means for someone about to change something in their life.
### How is the podcast fact-checked?
Claim verification happens before recording, not after publication. Every factual statement planned for an episode is traced to a primary source during the research phase, and any claim that cannot be sourced is either cut or stated qualitatively rather than as a specific figure.
### Where can I listen to THE INSIGHT SOURCE podcast?
On Spotify, Apple Podcasts and YouTube. New episodes are published regularly.
### Is the podcast medical advice?
No. Every episode is general education, not medical advice. Episodes covering clinically sensitive topics carry an explicit disclaimer and route listeners to qualified support.
### How much misinformation is in health podcasts?
There is no complete measurement. A 2024 BBC World Service investigation had four academic and clinical experts assess 15 health episodes of one of the most-downloaded English-language podcasts and reported an average of 14 claims per episode that contradicted established scientific evidence. That investigation was not peer-reviewed. Academic scoping reviews separately find that the accuracy of user-generated health podcasts remains largely unknown, with no standardised quality-assessment framework applied across shows.
### Why are podcasts especially prone to health misinformation?
The properties that make podcasts persuasive are the same ones that make them hard to scrutinise: intimacy, long-form narrative and parasocial trust. Claims are spoken rather than written, rarely challenged in the moment, and not indexed or reviewed the way published text is.
### How can a podcast host reduce the risk of stating an inaccurate health claim?
Move verification before the recording. Once a claim is spoken and published it is already distributed; checking the source while the episode is still a brief means an unsupported claim is cut or restated qualitatively instead of corrected after the fact.
### What is pre-recording production in podcasting?
Pre-recording production is the research and verification layer that runs before the microphone is on: search-intent mapping, primary-source research, and claim verification delivered to the host as a brief. It determines what is worth saying, rather than processing what was already said.
### Why does most podcast software start after the recording?
That is where the commercial infrastructure got built. Editing tools start with the audio, show-note and clip workflows start with the transcript, and distribution tools start with the finished file. Pre-production research does appear in the planning guides, but it was never turned into a product or a billable service layer.
### Can podcast audio be indexed by search engines?
The text layer around the audio is what gets crawled and indexed: the episode page, title, description, transcript and show notes. The audio file itself needs a well-built text wrapper to be findable.
### When should keyword research happen for a podcast episode?
Before recording. If keyword work happens only afterwards, the target terms exist in the metadata but not in the transcript, which is the most semantically dense part of the episode. Building the keyword architecture into the research brief means the host speaks the search terms naturally during the recording.
### What is in a podcast research brief?
Ten sections plus a source tracker and a quarantine appendix: the definition of the topic, the numbers with a blacklist of statistics that will not survive checking, root causes, real examples, the voices in the space, a section arguing against the episode's own premise, implications with confidence levels, angles, an eight-question discussion framework, and the search architecture.
### Why fact-check a podcast episode before recording instead of after?
Because a correction made before a recording costs a sentence and a correction made after it costs an edit, a re-record, or a claim that stays published. Statistics that cannot be sourced are quarantined in the brief, so the host never reaches for them on air in the first place.
### Why do I wake up anxious when nothing is wrong?
Sometimes the physical sensation arrives before any explanation does. The cortisol awakening response and sleep inertia change how inputs land in the first hour, so the body can register activation and the mind then searches for a reason that seems solvable. This is general education, not medical advice.
### What is a nervous system friendly morning routine?
One that treats the first hour as a cue-sensitive transition window rather than a productivity slot. In practice that means reducing the common stress stackers — reactive input, time pressure, caffeine timing and intensity-mismatched movement — and using a reset short enough to survive a real morning, around 5 to 10 minutes.
### What are the most common morning stress stackers?
Reactive input such as checking messages immediately on waking, time pressure built into the schedule, caffeine timed against the cortisol peak, and movement whose intensity does not match the body's state.
### What is self-improvement burnout?
A state where the practices themselves look correct — therapy, journaling, training, sleep tracking — but the person feels worse over time. The pattern is usually driven by what the routine is organised around rather than by any individual habit. This is general education, not medical advice.
### How do you tell a helpful habit from one that is draining you?
By what it is organised around. A practice pursued from anxiety about not being enough carries a different cost than the same practice pursued from interest, even when the activity is identical. A short review of the current list — around 15 minutes — usually shows which items are being held in place by pressure.
