Most competitors start
with a transcript.
I start before that.
THE INSIGHT SOURCE exists because there is a gap in most podcast production stacks, between what the host already knows and what the research actually says. I built a system that closes it before anyone hits record.
See the full methodology →The problem isn't
the recording.
It's what comes before it.
Most tools in the podcast production stack assume the same starting point: you've recorded, now let us process it. Editing tools start with audio. Show-note workflows usually start from the transcript or recording. Social content tools start with clips. Almost everyone competes for what happens after the host sits down.
Few are working the part that matters most: the research that shapes what the host actually says, the claim-checking that helps protect licensed practitioners from repeating unsupported claims, and the search architecture that gives the episode a better chance of being found.
THE INSIGHT SOURCE was built to occupy that space. Not as a feature bolted onto another service, but as the primary research layer that improves everything downstream.
Three stages.
All of them before you record.
The production system runs in three stages. Every client and every own-channel episode goes through the same sequence. No shortcuts, no skipped steps.
Two tracks.
One methodology.
THE INSIGHT SOURCE runs two parallel tracks that share a single production system. The own-channel podcast is the proof of work. The client service is what I deliver to external shows.

The things I won't
compromise on.
These aren't aspirational brand statements. They're operational constraints that determine what I take on, how I work, and what I say no to.
About the operation, plainly.
Who runs THE INSIGHT SOURCE?
Martin Schattenberg. He has worked as an audio engineer since 2011, starting in the music industry in Berlin and Hamburg as a mix and production assistant, then as a mastering engineer, before shifting to German dubbing: recording, editing and preparing voice-actor sessions across AAA game titles, films, series and documentaries. He founded THE INSIGHT SOURCE to build the research layer that podcast production stacks leave out.
What makes THE INSIGHT SOURCE different from a podcast agency?
Sequence. Editing tools start with audio, show-note workflows start with the transcript, clip tools start with the recording. THE INSIGHT SOURCE works before any of that exists, so the research shapes what the host actually says rather than being summarised after the fact.
What is the Credibility Shield?
The Credibility Shield is the source-verification pass: every factual claim planned for the episode is traced to a verifiable source before the host records, and the documented backing is handed over with the brief. For licensed practitioners it moves claim-checking to the point where it can still prevent a problem.
What topics does THE INSIGHT SOURCE cover?
Mind & Body only: nervous system regulation, sleep science, stress and recovery, circadian health, gut and microbiome, movement and morning habits. No finance, no technology, no general business content.
